2024 NFL Week 2 Fantasy Football DraftKings DFS Points Target
I shared this spreadsheet last year and it helped some DFS players so I am going to try and get this out every week. It’s DraftKings’ main slate pricing, projected ownership (as of 9/13), and most importantly POINTS TARGET. I used RotoWire for the projected ownership.
Last year I followed all the tournament-winning lineups and found that if your entire roster scores 4.83X their salary, you’d have a great chance of winning. This is just a tool to help you make decisions, it’s not giving you the answer.
Not every player on your roster needs to hit 4.83X value; if some exceed it, others can afford to fall short slightly. This helps me assess each player’s points target and decide whether I think they can reach it.
Seeing this number puts it in perspective versus just seeing their salary differences.
For example, this week Mahomes’ points target based on his salary is 33.81 FP. Watson’s is 27.048 FP. While Watson is a salary saver, I don’t think he’ll come close to 27.048 points this week so I will have him in 0 lineups. Note, based on my successful jinx rates, you should probably play some Watson lineups.
